- !!! NEW !!! Zimmerman Road (Clackamas County project) -- Zimmerman Rd between Barlow Rd and Meridian Rd will be closed Sept. 7-Oct. 15, 2010 for culvert replacement on Gut Creek. Detour will be Whiskey Hill Rd. For more information: Kerri Whitlow, 503.706.1138 or kerriwhi@co.clackamas.or.us.
- PERMANENT CLOSURE -- 162nd Ave. south of Rock Creek Blvd. permanently closed to all automobile traffic Aug. 31, 2010. Property owners south of Rock Creek continue to access Highway 212 directly, but do not have access to Rock Creek. Others access Highway 212 via Rock Creek to 172nd. - Tooze Road (City of Sherwood project) -- Tooze Road between Kame Terrace and Westfall Road closed Sept. 1, 2010 - Jan. 31, 2011, for installation of a water transmission pipeline as part of the Sherwood SureWater Pipeline Project. - Mattoon Road over Spring Creek (Clackamas County project) -- Mattoon Road over Spring Creek is closed August 16 - Sept. 17, 2010, for the removal of damaged culverts and replacement of the culverts with a bridge. For more information, James Reese, 503.742.4707 or jamesree@co.clackamas.or.us.
- Highway 213, Milk Creek Bridge Replacement (Oregon Department of Transportation project) -- The state is replacing Milk Creek Bridge and widening Highway 213 between the Bridge and Passmore Road to add a continuous left turn lane, wider shoulders, curbs and sidewalks, and improve sight distance. There will be lane closures on Highway 213 between 9:15 a.m. and 3:15 p.m., Monday-Friday. As of March 15 through late summer 2010, there is no access to Graves Road from Highway 213. UPDATE AUGUST 19: From August 16-20, the contractor will work on paving, utilities and sidewalks along Highway 213 and continue working on the Bridge. - Highway 224 (Clackamas Highway), Eagle Creek to Estacada (Oregon Department of Transportation project) -- UPDATE AUGUST 19: The first phase of the project was beautification and preservation on Highway 224 in Estacada. The second phase includes repaving Highway 224 between Eagle Creek and the entrance to the City of Estacada. From August 16-20, the contractor will work on sign installation and barrier work. - Oregon City Bridge Preservation (Oregon Department of Transportation project) -- UPDATE July 30, 2010: Barges have been installed at the base of the 88-year-old bridge to use as work platforms and prevent material from impending bridge work from going into the river. With barges in place, the width of the river channel has shrunk to 120 feet, requiring boaters to use additional caution as they move through the area. In order to repair this 88-year-old bridge, it will have to be closed for two years. The closure will occur no earlier than Jan. 15, 2011.
