Historic Review Board
Historic Review Boards (or Landmark Commissions) are committees of volunteers appointed to help property owners with design guidance, resource referrals, regional historic preservation events, and up-to-date information on local and regional funding and grant sources. Clackamas County has a preservation ordinance and Historic Review Board for unincorporated areas of the county. The cities of Oregon City, Lake Oswego, Canby and West Linn have preservation ordinances and Historic Review Boards for their jurisdictions. All of these communities have met the State Historic Preservation Office’s (SHPO) “Certified Local Government” standards and are eligible for planning and inventory project funding.
