Job Opportunities

Client-Employed Provider Program

A client-employed provider is someone who is employed directly by a client/employer to work in the client's home. A client-employed provider is paid on an hourly basis; however, a live-in provider is paid a monthly salary based on the client's needs. The program serves Medicaid and "Oregon Project Independence " clients whom CCSSD has determined eligible for the program. The starting wage rate for hourly workers is $8.12 an hour. After 6 months experience working with our clients or if they have approved training (Certified Nursing Assistant) they are paid $8.34 per hour. Duties can include: cleaning a client's home, cooking, and/or providing varying levels of personal care.

The County has a referral system to match clients and potential providers. To be on the referral list providers must complete an application packet. As part of the application process potential providers must pass a criminal record check and reference checks (all done by the County). Potential providers and clients are identified and the client/employer is given the name and phone number of the potential provider to set up an interview. The client determines whether to hire someone and the provider decides whether to accept the position. Payment for services is through a state voucher system, not directly from the client/employer.
