RETIREMENT COMMUNITY/CONGREGATE HOUSING- An apartment, townhouse complex or individual cottages which offer a variety of services to meet the needs of residents. These services may include meals, shopping assistance, medical services, a community center, recreational activities and transportation. Some retirement communities provide several levels of care, ranging from independent housing to long-term care, in one campus-like setting. Purchase of a residential unit may also be an option. (These facilities do not accept Medicaid).
