Program/Service Notes:
Provides emergency services to residents living in the Sandy area of Clackamas County (see Service Area Description). Services include: Information and Referral, emergency food and clothing, utility assistance, prescription assistance, transportation and furniture/household goods. Thrift store open to the public. Vouchers for clothing and shoes provided from the Thrift Store to people in emergency situations with incomes at or below 185% of poverty level. 5-7 day food boxes for people in emergency situations with income at or below 185% of poverty level. Formula/baby food available depending on funding; call before referring. Food boxes are available once in a 30-day period. Must live in the Oregon Trail School District. Furniture and other household items may be provided from the Thrift Store to people in emergency situations with incomes at or below 185% of poverty level, depending on availability. Temporary financial aid depends on available funds. Utility bill payment assistance available from various funding sources including FEMA, Low Income Energy Assistance Program, Gas Assistance Program and local donations. Must have a shut-off notice. Gas vouchers must have proof of car insurance. Emergency Prescriptions-$50.00 per person yearly. Emergency prescription expense assistance on a limited basis, up to a maximum amount. Must live in the Oregon Trail School District and be in an emergency situation with income at or below185% of poverty. Thrift shop sells shoes, clothes, furniture, books and household miscellaneous at reasonable prices. Income supports center services. Donation of usable clothing, household items, shoes, and furniture are accepted during Thrift Store hours.
