Program/Service Notes:
TRP transportation services to residents of Clackamas County who are unable to access public transportation or other specialized transportation for elderly or persons with disabilities. Riders must be 60 years or older or a person with disabilities. Depending on driver availability, the program may be able to serve those who are low-income and living in rural areas not served by public transit. Rides are provided by volunteer drivers and a wheel chair accessible van. Priority is given for routine medical appointments. TRP is not intended to replace other transportation resources. Riders should register with Tri-Met LIFT, local transit district paratransit service, senior centers and other area transportation services. TRP is a program of the Clackamas County Social Services Division/Community Action Agency. TRP provides transportation services to all eligible residents of Clackamas County. Rides are provided to destinations within the County as well as the greater Metropolitan area. Routine medical rides may extend to Marion County. The primary focus for TRP is service for those who do not have access to or are unable to use public transportation or other specialized elderly and disabled transportation services. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Resident of Clackamas County, and unable to access public transportation or other specialized transportation for elderly or persons with disabilities, and 60 years and older, or a person with disabilities, or low-income and live in rural areas not served by public transit. SERVICES PROVIDED: Service is provided by volunteers using their own vehicles and three TRP vans. Transportation is limited to volunteer availability. Priority for service is transportation for elderly and persons with disabilities. Transportation for younger low-income residents is provided on a space available basis. Priority is given to routine medical appointments. TRP is not intended to replace other transportation resources.
