engAGE in Community Volunteer Opportunities

An age-friendly community is one that promotes civic and social engagement, addresses basic needs such as food and shelter, optimizes physical and mental well being, and maximizes independence for people of all abilities and health status.

MAPPS-Mapping Your Community for Age-Friendliness-

Communites that have particapted in the MAPPING process will be elgible for small grant funding to help their community become more age- freindly.

Please help us in our efforts to make Clackamas County a community that is age-friendly for you, your family and future generations. Volunteers are still needed to work in their own communities in the following capacity:

  • Attribute Mapping Volunteers-- Use an exciting new participatory assessment tool, Participatory Photo Mapping (PPM), to document age-friendly supports and barriers in your community. Do you belong to a community organization or group that would like to take part in an exciting new way to identify attributes in your community within Clackamas County? We would love to hear from you!   Mapping Your Community for Age-Friendliness . Looking for residents in Sandy and Oregon City to help MAPP these communites.
  • Our wonderful team of trained volunteer interveiwers set out across Clackamas County to hear directly from older adults in Clackamas County  to help determine what they would would like to see change or stay the same in their communities.
