Tip Sheet
If you would like to provide information regarding suspected criminal activity, you can call the Sheriff's Office Tip Line at (503) 723-4949, or you can fill out the e-mail form below.
You can also submit tips via anonymous cell-phone text message. To submit a crime tip to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office from a cell phone, all you have to do is send a text message to CRIMES (274637 on your phone keypad) -- with the keyword CCSO as the first word in the message body. FOR EXAMPLE: A tipster could send the following tip to CRIMES (274637 on your phone keypad): "CCSO John Doe has information about a crime." For detailed information on this service, click here.
IMPORTANT NOTES: To report a crime in progress, call 911. (It's also important to note that citizens need to call 911 -- because 911 centers in Oregon are NOT able to receive text messages.) If you are the victim of a crime that occurred in Clackamas County and need to file a police report, contact non-emergency dispatch at (503) 655-8211. Also, please note that Tip Line messages are retrieved Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you are contacting us regarding a news story, please explain which news outlet you're referring to -- and provide a CCSO case number or press-release headline, if possible.
