How to Apply

1. To find available positions in the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, visit www.clackamas.us/des/jobinfo.jsp and follow the instructions.
2. Applicants must also fill out a Statement of Personal History (SPH), which you can download here.
3. Applicants for Deputy positions in Patrol or Corrections must successfully complete:
   • The online application and Statement of Personal History;
   • Supplemental questionnaire;
   • A written test (candidates with a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university are not required to take the written test);
   • A case report exam, which requires the use of word-processing software (Corrections only);
   • A comprehensive background investigation (read about our eligibility requirements);
   • An oral board (panel) interview; and
   • If recommended for selection, medical and psychological examinations

Veterans and disabled veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.
