of State's Office (Elections Division)
In administering Oregons elections, the Secretary of State's Office,
Elections Division provides the public, local election officials, candidates,
chief petitioners and the press with advice and assistance in conducting
elections, filing initiatives and declaring candidacy. The Division
is the filing officer for state candidates and initiative, referendum
and recall petitions. Election law violations are investigated and penalties
administered by the Division.
