Mediation and Dispute Resolution in the Workplace
The CSCC Dispute Resolution Center provides community mediation and conflict resolution services to the public. The services are frequently provided in the evening hours and at convenient locations around the county. In addition, staff trains volunteers and delivers a mediation process that enables people and businesses that are experiencing conflict or disagreement to resolve differences with the assistance of an impartial third party. Mediation involves a trained person who helps the disputing parties to clearly define their concerns and expectations. Mediation is a shared problem-solving process. Examples of conflict resolution services provided include: Neighbor to Neighbor, Landlord and Tenant, Employer and Employee, etc. Examples of issues addressed include: Animal Control, Boundary Disputes, Environmental Concerns, Neighborhood Relationships, Property Damage, etc.
